Volunteers wanted for the club regatta
We host on the second weekend of next month, which means four hundred visitors, thirty visiting crews and a car park that has to be run by somebody who is not also cooking. The list of jobs runs to eighty and roughly half of them are filled.
What is still open
- Marshals on the bank, both days, in two-hour shifts
- Kitchen from six in the morning on the Saturday
- Boat park — the single most useful job, and the least popular
- Two drivers for the launch trailer
A shift is two hours and you can race around it; the timetable is built that way on purpose. Sign up on the sheet in the loft or reply to the club mail, and please do it now rather than on the Friday.
If nobody takes the boat park, the committee takes the boat park, and the committee is also running everything else.
