Membership fees for the coming year
The committee agreed the fees for the coming year at its meeting on Tuesday. Full membership rises by three per cent, which is below what insurance and electricity did to us this year, and the difference comes out of the reserve.
The rates
- Full — €38 per month, or €410 paid annually
- Student — €19 per month, new this year, proof required once
- Junior — €15 per month, unchanged
- Social — €60 per year, unchanged
The student rate is new and it exists because we were losing people at eighteen and getting them back, if at all, at thirty. It applies to anyone in full-time education, and it is checked once rather than every year.
Nobody has ever been asked to leave this club over money. If the fee is the thing standing between you and rowing, write to the treasurer; that conversation is confidential and it happens more often than you would think.
